When it’s raining out, it will be hard not to notice that water is an important part of this small courtyard plaza project – a key focal point within the overall site design. Rainwater is captured from the roof of the adjacent building and artfully directed through a series of spouts, ornate channels, and concrete basins before entering a bio-swale system. During a typical storm event, this rainwater will be kept on-site, filtered of any contaminants, before it is allowed to percolate back into the ground. Ample space for seating via tables and chairs, as well as seat wall space, allows users to take a break during their busy days.
