In this true working garden, a series of outdoor spaces serve as a place to relax, play a game of bocci, or enjoy the pool after spending a day working in the home office adjacent to the 10 year old vineyard with small orchard. Visitors arrive to find a colorfully planted stormwater garden and move from the entry court through the house out to a veranda with a view to the Cascades and overlooking the hillside with the stone fireplace and pool terrace. A garden path passes through the grape arbor down to a decomposed granite court where people can stop for a game of bocci, continue down to the vineyard and orchard, or head off to work in the home office. Each turn reveals a garden full of interest throughout the year with seasonal plantings and pottery. After a long day, everybody can hike back up the hillside to light a fire and share stories about their day working in the garden setting.
